  • great songs, poor recording

I've only listened to the samples, but it sounds to me like something went a bit sideways with this recording. If I had to guess, I'd say that they had some mics out front and some feeds from the mixing board and that when recombined there are some phase problems; it presents as a "wobbly" sound, kind of like you're listening to the show through a cooling fan. Subtle, but unpleasant. Seems like it improves in the later songs.

I hated it, it annoyed every bone in my body. I love her album, and saw her live in chicago and I adored her. I bought this and I believe I deleted it from my library. looking forward to the next album , but buyer beware of this one.

It takes 5 listens to really get and appreciate what's going on. Try it. If I'm wrong, sorry, I bet I'm not.

Lykke Li inspires me incredibly. I love her little girly unique voice.

Really was impressed by her original album but i find this live album conjuring images of an early nelly furtado jumping around on stage singing. I've never noticed the similarity until this album... idk what to think.

I adore how different Lykke Li is. Her voice is queerly beautiful and utterly unique, and her videos are perfect for her style (check out "I'm Good, I'm Gone", this week's free video single). I didn't notice that many flat notes, really--just her voice being the way it is. (Plus, alot of really great singers go flat when performing, for various reasons.) With Lykke Li, if she did go flat, it would fit with her style.
  • Amazing Voice

Lykke Li has a very unique voice that seperate her from all the other artist, even the artist who have unique voices themselves with the likes of Amy Winehouse, Duffy, and Katy Perry. She can sing, she can write great songs, and from her very creative videos, she can dance. I enjoy her live when she uses the megaphone before the song "I'm good, I'm gone" and then burst out with that amazing voice. I feel a new artist grammy award in the near future.

I still don't know what to think. Uh, flat, very flat. Her voice is always flat (I do love her voice) but this is shockingly odd; Jump On It/I Don't Mind is amazing, but I still don't know what I think of her vocals live. It's too odd to pin down, but for now, two thumbs in limbo.
