Best Manilow album I ever heard!!!! Of course his hits like "Mandy" and who could not forget "Copacabana" and more are great songs. But "Showstoppers" being his first album to not feature his orginal songs. It's a good one!!! My favorite song(s) are "All I Need is the Girl", "Real Live Girl", and "Fugue for Tinhorns." Barry Manilow seems to once again surprise us all!

Clive wanted a Barbra for his label and he found one in Barry. Showstoppers when it was released was lavish. Chock full of Broadway anthems beautifully produced and very well mastered. I mean, the volume on this cd is way up there, nice and loud. The arrangements on this outing are a bit contemporary but serves to breathe new life unto these standards. "Look To The Rainbow" with Barbara Cook is simply stunning.

Barry and Broadway - a perfect combination. All I Need Is The Girl and The Kid Inside are Barry at his BEST.
