I loved to listen to it in 1976. since I'm older it always talks my me back to the life times of the period. This album was sooo hard to find for the longest time. I wore out my cassette version, much later found it on LP . Now thanks to itunes it lives on in digital.

1-I'll echo the other Customer Reviewers: Seems to like to bash Ms. Manchester. 2-Can't spell. It's Midnight not Midnite. Get a dictionary. 3-Listen to several of the current 'girl' singers out there (pick a genre, several genres), singing through their *throat*, no diaphramic support, little voice range, no lyrical interpretation, no control, no emotion. Need *big instrumentals* and/or hustling their booty on stage to carry a song. NOW go back and listen to all of our dearly beloved Melissa. 4-If that doesn't work, go back to music school. Like 'em, love 'em or hate 'em, *vocally* Ms. M's peers are Barbara S., Donna Summer, Celine Dion. Not only from *old memories* sake, but vocally and lyrically, 'Better Days' has been on my favorite list since 1976. FABULOUS to have it digitally. Thanks ITunes.

I remember playing this to death when I got it back in 1976. This album conjures up so many good memories for me. Thanks iTunes! Love it!

What idiot did write the review for this record for i tunes? This was a record that you could put on and let play. Every cut led to the next in a way that almost tells a story. This recording stands up to the test of time. It sounds as good in 2008 as it did in 1976; an album that every cut is worth listening to!!!! Why doesn't itunes get a TRUE music lover and someone who was THERE to write reviews for music that was obviously written before the birth of this author. Thanks for finally getting this fantastic piece in here.
  • This album delivers "Good News" in spades

I have to wonder who is writing the iTunes reviews for MM, because this one was wayyyyy off. First of all, the ballad "Good News" was groundbreaking and very much in the creative vein of the tracks on "Bright Eyes" (and why is that album not available here?) "Just You and I" had a considerable impact on other artists of the time; Bob Dylan practically held MM hostage in his living room playing it over and over again, he was so moved by it. It exceeds the musicality of the previous album, and the collaborations with Sager are like wonderful conversations. Maybe the reviewer is a loner???

I was given this album as a Christmas gift in 1976, and always loved it. "Better Days" stuck with me for all these years, and I am so happy it is finally available in digital format. Originally, I was going to purchase only one track, but when I found the album was available, I could not resist. Definitely, one of Melissa's finest achievements!
