It doesn't get any better than this. I hope that he will do a similar concert in Maui.

If you're a parrothead (or just looking around on iTunes), you need to check this album out. I highly recommend it.

Now that is my kind of concert. Beautiful place, happy people and Jimmy jammin the way he ought to all the time. I dug some of the back up singers, they added some neat tones and originality to the songs. That could have well been in my back yard it felt so not concert like. I have the DVD as well and really enjoyed that! I will be playing this along with many other Buffett songs this weekend at my Birthday party barbeque. He needs to come to California more! I will be in St.Thomas this December and am really bummed I cant catch him there.

This is one of those live albums that you HAVE to buy, because you just wish that you had been there. I'll definitely buy the CD/DVD set too, I just wanted to hear the live album for my sake so I can hear such great music...AND it's the first Mailboat release in iTunes Plus, so how can you go wrong?
  • The DVD's 1st ten minutes

The first ten minutes of the DVD is AWESOME for any true Parrtohead. Just Jimmy and a skeleton crew band on the beach in front of Bankies Dune Preserve. The concert was cool, but I wish I caught the pre show on the beach. CHECK IT OUT. It's what this music is about.
  • Live in Anguilla

The first time I ever saw Jimmy Buffet was in an Aspen Co. bar where he was jamming with Jimmy Ibbotsen of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (it was 1975). The Beach set on this compilation is truly a flash back to that night and the joy of live music played for the hell of it rather than the big business of it. While I in no way mean any offense to Mr. B and his many ventures and large stadium shows, the Live in Anguilla album allows us all to revel in what it means to be a Parrot Head and attending services in the Church of Buffet Orthodox. Good music, good times for a good cause and on top of it all a technically great recording. Love it, love it now about that unplugged album? How about the recent Gig with just Jimmy and Mac in Glendale!
  • Enjoyable Music I listen to all the time

Ran across this album and found out there was a DVD too. I will say that have listened to this more than 10 times through and don't have a problem listening to more of it again, and again , and again. I just have to hit one of these concerts one of these days. If you are on the fence on whether to buy this or not, DO IT. You will enjoy all of the music.

While Jimmy covers all the familiar stuff, there's an intimacy here that you don't see in the stadium shows. Sure, seeing Buffett at Fenway was special, but being one of 60,000 at Gillette Stadium is getting a bit ridiculous, don't you think? What's a Parrothead to do though? Hearing Jimmy in a much smaller environment like this puts you front row center. Besides all the usual songs you know by heart, notable are They Don't Dance Like Carmen No More, That's What Living Is to Me and Distantly in Love (each too rarely seen in a Buffett concert), as well as a wonderful cover of Waiting in Vain. Whether you purchase it on iTunes or go out and get the total package, this is a gem.
