Walk Spirit, Talk Spirit... one of my favorite pieces of all time, check out the live version from 1971 Montreaux Jazz festival with Azar Lawrence, Jooney Booth and Alphonse Mouson a true classic...this is a very nice redux.

This album has the power and emotive force of A Love Supreme. It simply kills. Many recommended The Real McCoy, but I purchased this first and I don't regret it one bit.
  • Great band with the master

McCoy's always been able to slowly build up a great intensity both as a rhythm player and while soloing. I don't know if much of Coltrane's stuff would have been as intense without McCoy. Here he has a great band with him that flows perfectly upward with intensity as McCoy does.

i could't stand his version of giant steps on youtube. It was just too FAST. I convinced myself that all his songs were equally bad. I finally looked on itunes and found this album. my whole mindset changed. He still plays with speed, but it doesn't become a jumble of noise. Each note is defined. Just an amazing album
