The album "heart of the wind" is breathtaking! The drums and flute are both well played, and the album title is describes the music perfectly! It is also perfect for relieving stress!

Heart of the wind is a wonderful blend of flute and drum. some of the songs are tranquil and others are soft, yet uplifting. I truly love Native American music, especially medicine music... and Heart of the Wind is one of my favorites.

Beautifully conceived album – 5 STARS: Robert Tree Cody is one of those Native American flute musicians who sounds like the ideal flute player. His notes are clear as rainwater, and his sense of melody, (I assume the compositions are his own), are extremely listenable. Cody doesn’t over ornament, but he adds enough flourishes in just the right places. He’ll throw in a glissando or two, (making a note slide like a trombone), and he’ll round it out with a few trills, making an otherwise simple melody very interesting. In Track 1 Cody sets us up for the ride with Gila River Sunrise, an easy-going tune with Will Clipman’s laid back drumming and Cody’s trills, inviting one to hear more. The pace quickens in track 2 with Obsidian and Ironwood, the rhythm like a march—something you don’t often hear in an NA flute tune. Track 3, Rain in the Dust, begins with just Cody’s melody. Then Clipman comes in with those cool drums. In the second part of the tune, Cody blows the higher minor third, the highest “practical” note that can be blown on most Native American flutes, and works his way down the scale to an eventually satisfying ending. My favorite tune on this album is Carrizo Breeze. Cody begins alone in the lower register, setting up the theme. Then Clipman comes in and accompanies him on the theme. Lots of very nice sustained notes takes you to another world as Cody rides his melody on Clipman’s masterful drums. Cody is very accessible for those wanting to learn the Native American flute. He approaches the instrument humbly, letting the flute speak to you in its very gentle way. The album isn’t technically perfect, but the beautiful way in which Cody handles this simple folk instrument, and Will Clipman’s tasteful drumming, make this an album you’ll love. And for this reason I easily give this album 5 STARS. Dick - FluteFlights.com

Breathtaking... As an older man, the music transcends me to a calmer, peaceful place. This is great and calmong music to work by, drive with, and meditate to. Timeless.

Heart of the Wind is the perfect title for this album: the music is peaceful and one can imagine it is the music of the wind. Not sure what the other reviewer meant by 'the men yelling'... I've only noticed one song with vocals (Grandfather's Breath), which has ONE man singing, and no yelling.

I used this music for a report. Its pretty good, but the men screaming kind of messed up my report.
