My brother and I used to listen to this record all the time at my grandparent’s house in the early 1980s. Great memories! Would love to listen to it in my grandparent’s living room just one more time!

I get up on this music. My daddy had an 8track that we’d listen to Johnny’s songs on. Love this.

I grew up listening to this too! Believe it or not I'm 23 years old, and I can't get enough of these deep true songs. My dad had an old van with an 8-track tape player and Johnny was one of the few he had left. My brothers and sisters and I would sit there with the big slide doors opened playin Johnny's music while enjoying a root beer float. It was a good way to spend part of a summer sunday after church. Now I'm in the Marine Corps and I got Johnny with me. My favorite song 10 years ago was Battle of New Orleans. Now I enjoy them all. You ain't gonna find any modern music this good, that's for sure.

Battle of New Orleans was my Uncle Don's favorite song, so to me it has special meaning. Proves Mr Horton has staying power and his songs are classics. Enjoy the album. It is terrific!
