Do not sleep on this release. It really showcases Boz's talents.
  • ALMOST AS GOOD AS SILK, JUST A LITTLE TO THE LEFT.

When Boz Scaggs released Silk Degrees I thought he had reached his peak. Maybe he had, but this album is so close it is worth a listen. There were at least 6 songs on this disk that were radio worthy but got over looked. "Still falling for you" put you right in the middle of a fight within ones chest to claim the love he wants. " A Clue" has a awesome sound and releases all the feeling any song ever has. "Whatcha gonna tell your man", well it speakes for itself, but makes one yearn to stop a relationship he knows should not be. "Were waiting" Haunting melody, and briliantly written. "Hollywood" just plain fun. "Gimme the goods" fast paced and an awesome driving song. "1993" was futuristic at the time, But lots of take this just and shove it overtones. "Tomorrow never came" A beautiful ballad and makes you wish it was a 10 minute song. If you liked silk degrees and do not have "Down two then left" Relax, It is very, very nearly as good and has Mr. Scaggs once again at his best. I am sure you will agree. The only thing I never have understood was the title itself? But I guess we don't need to understand everything.
