  • Toto Seven One - Thousand Years Song and Critique

A Thousand Years is one of the best, intresting song Ive heard in years. I missed it in the late 80s. Gorgeous Song. Lyrics aint pictures. Drum best sound simple...It aint that easy. BIGGEST PROBLEM is in the mastering. THis album plays so LOW. Its like mastered like -30db? Its so low and hard to enjoy on any player. Its just a crap overall level master issue. Sad. Try listening to this album then any other Toto or any CD. Youll hear the poor level mix and master. Wish they remaster the album and fix that BS! A4 rating for Thousand Years song and most of the LP. All due to the poor mix issue and problem. Anyone else agree?????? Best! MirageGenesis *sorry for any typos or auto correct apple nonsense!!!
  • Toto is not Toto without Jeff and Mike Porcaro

To my way of thinking. Toto never recovered its musical course ever since the untimely tragic deaths of Jeff in 1.992 and now Mike. I know that these two brothers are resting peacefully in the loving arms of Our Heavenly Father. I can access the You-tube web site on my I-pad and see those two perform together in a Starliks video. The CD is awesome from start to finish. Home of the Brave should have been a major hit. These guys still can rock and sing just saw the 6-16-17 they still have it.

I'm putting this album back in my collection after having given up my vinyl years ago. It's like meeting up with an old and treasured friend. I can't wait to marathon play it.
  • One of their best albums

The Seventh One is probably the strongest album after Toto IV. Toto's musicianship really shines from start to finish. The production is really crisp and this captures Toto in their element. Joseph Williams is the underrated star of this album because of his extraordinary vocal performance. This is a hard album to pick favorites because every track is solid. If you want to get a feel for the album, I would pick Pamela, Stop Loving You, Mushanga, Straight for the Heart, These Chains, and Home of the Brave as starting tracks. If you are a fan of Toto, I would highly recommend adding this album to your collection.

Most teenagers are into rap or heavy metal, but contrary to their mass liking of those people, i am in love with classic rock whick includes toto's music. I like EVERY single one of their 80's songs, i have all of their 80's s albums, and i love them all. This is a great band to listen to when you are in any mood =D.... thnx
