album of the summer, imo

Very dull. I don’t feel the energy like the last one.

I never heard of turnstile and took a chance and listened, this album is awesome, I don’t find great new music often, this one is a keeper

Excellent album

Sounds like a pop prouder (Rick Rubin) got his hands all over this. The mix is muddy and the vocals are overly manipulated and sound uninspired and sedated into boredom. It’s apparent the band or Rubin was trying to throw enough “hardness” into the mix as a token gesture to appease the bands following but the effort to redefine Turnstile’s sound as more approachable was half hazard at best. The result is an album that doesn’t commit in either direction and stalls out on the tracks resulting in a musical train wreck. Luckily, this band knows the secret spice and will hopefully learn from this throw away effort. And I generally think Rick Rubin is the best producer out there but he swung and missed on this one!

People giving this album one star are deaf. This album bangs.
