I only purchased Sand. I might buy the rest of the album, not sure yet. All I know is “Sand” is one of those songs that takes you to another place. You’re welcome to get tied up in the lyrics if you want, but the sounds is hauntingly refreshing. There will be comparisons and I draw my own honestly, but to sum this song up into one word: Nostalgic (and not the way you think)

This is really different. I love it. I haven’t been the biggest fan but this album is really good. Also if you don’t like it great don’t listen to it and move on. Don’t just give a 1 star just because.

Dove Cameron’s music has been appalling all around. I don’t know how else to say this, but it just… sounds awful. Everything she’s done sounds heavy, muddy, and lifeless, even her softer songs. It sounds like the musical equivalent of a cement brick, and it doesn’t help that she sings in that indie-girl whisper voice, which removes any emotion she’s trying to evoke. For every successful Disney star’s music career, there’s always at least one who falls flat. For every Miley Cyrus, there’s an Ashley Tisdale. And just as equally, for every Olivia Rodrigo, there’s a Dove Cameron.
