Blackberry Smoke is one of the best rock bands doing new music nowadays.

Not their best. Smoke and Reckless Kelly share an unfortunate tendency to extremely uneven songwriting. Love both bands, but for every example of clever lyrics and catchy hooks there's a whole lot of mediocre filler work that litter their albums. Maybe this album will prove to be a grower, but after the first few spins it really comes across as lacking energy.
