When I was in high school I used to LOVE their hit with 112 called "All Cried Out." I wanted to get this album the day I saw it in the store. I never did but I got it at a used cd store a few years later and I LOVE it! Mariah's influence is definately here, especially on the hip-hop style "Head Over Heals" where Carey has songwriting credits. Another highlight is the Carey written "Last Chance" which is just BEAUTIFUL! This is a great R&B album full of great vocals. I think because there were so many R&B girl groups going on at the time Allure didn't get the recognition they deserved. They are great singers and I remain a fan. This is a great album. I reccomend it!

i think that if they would've had the right producers, the group would've been know. i know they actually released a video for all cried out with 112. that was a good remake.
  • Good album...

To the people wondering why this showed up under Mariah Carey: they were the first group to be signed on to her label, and she's listed as a producer. Still, iTunes search and categorization generally bites it hard. This is a good album... but I wish that iTunes carried the EP for "All Cried Out" that had a great mix by Hex Hector on it. ::SIGH:: I guess, once again, I'll have to look somewhere else.

These girls have changed their line up a few times, but this is a good mix right here! Good 90's r & b that should have done alot better commercially then it did!

These ladies have a fantastic harmony together, like Boyz II Men had goin on! I heard Lisa Lisa's version on XM Radio and I forgot all about this song, so I ran to I tunes and found Allure's track which I remembered. These girls hit these songs out of the park!

I loved this album. Even though I was really young when it came out I remember always hearing it around. "All cried out" is a fav. Everyone who gave this a low rating needs to seriously listen to these women sing. They have it.

I'm with Spurta on this one. This is a good album that was overlooked because Destiny's Child dropped their debut album shortly after this was released and you know how that goes.
  • Yah about that...
