A little too eccentric for my taste. I always liked Me Myself and I & Three is the Magic Number but nothing else on this album. Two stars for the two good tracks.

One of the most important and influential hip hop albums of all time. De La Soul’s style was incredibly unique, never to be mistaken for any other group. Loved them when they debuted more than 30 years ago, never tire of listening to them today.

They can’t write their own songs so they rip off Steely Dan, et al

Revolutionary for its time and a timeless classic today. De La Soul made a significant impact in hip hop culture that can still be seen today. From their style and sound this album carved the way for many popular artists we know and love today.
