This album would be ok at best if I had realised I was buying live.... I didn't and I don't like the live versions.

Love all the music of Train. The depth of their lyrics has not been seen Elton John and Bernie Taupin. Have not seen them live yet B/c up till now I have not wanted to waste my money on some of these over priced concerts but I will for Train.
Holds a Special Place in my heart :)

All of their great songs are on this album (minus newer stuff, but hey-it's almost 10 years old!); plus a few cool gems: "Ordinary" "Free" (from their first album, their first radio single!) "Landmine", which is an unreleased single that they only play at live shows, and a neat cover of "Stay with Me" by the Faces. Don't pass this amazing album up!!!
Train is my absolute favorite band in the world, and this was the very first CD I bought myself all the way back in 2005. I know that Train gets a lot of crap for being supposed "pop sellouts", but they're incredible, talented musicians. There are really no words that can describe how amazing a live Train show is. Don't say you're not a Train fan until you've seen them live....trust me, it will change your life. They're a thousand times better live; the energy at the shows is incredible. It might sound weird for the audience to sing the chorus of "Meet VIrginia", but that's a concert staple-letting the audience sing the "she only drinks coffee at midnight..." part. When I finally got to see them live, it made me so excited! :) This CD means so much to me, and makes me so happy.

Being a musician myself, I love hearing great live recordings. Love them or hate them, I love that raw feeling that can only come from a live performance. I thought I had some good live music - Black Crowes, Counting Crows, Dave Matthews, the previously mentioned Huey Lewis... and then I heard this.
Yes, the crowd often seems to drown out the music... yes, there are annoying sing alongs (but only annoying because you weren't there live singing yourself), but this is an incredibly intimate portrait of a highly underrated band.
Great!

These are good live versions, but I'm rating it 5 stars mainly on the fact that "Ordinary" is available to buy, and it only costs 69 cents!

Great Music. Lead singer has a wonderful voice, the crowd is into the music and it is very enjoyable.
One can appreciate the musicality of this group - they are extremely talented.
I'm normally into 60's-70's classic rock, but these guys just grabbed me and made me an immediate fan - can't wait for them to tour somewhere close to me.
Wish I was there!!

This is my favorite Train album, ever. I love the way the live versions of all these songs that I love sound...and if you close your eyes you can almost see it. Ordinary is certainly one of the best (I wanna hear a live version of that!), and Drops of Jupiter sounds amazing! All of these are great songs, and they even add some humour to it too. Well worth the $. If you are a Train fan, you will most certainly love this!

Having been a fan of Train for many years, I can truly say that this is a great representation of the band's spirit and musical talent. They pour their heart and soul into each performance, and that is to be greatly appreciated. If you haven't yet dug deep into Train's catalog, then it's time to do so. On this live album, pick up Meet Virginia, All-American Girl, and Save the Day.
This band is criminally overlooked!!!!

What an incredible band... it's a shame they don't get much notice on iTunes. I can't wait for their next album, but Pat's solo disc will keep me satisfied somewhat until it comes.
