So constructive criticism is necessary at times, not saying this young man isn’t talented by any means. However the 4 singles he released prior is the only highlight to the entire album..Honey by far the best single, but the other songs just felt so lazily written. What made me get into his music was the honest feeling of the guitar style and the “80s kinda indie vibe” he brought to the table, those sounded so fresh and vibrant like “Fantasizing” or “feeling lonely” the pop vibe that wasn’t a rehash of every other pop song on the market today. For whatever reason though this doesn’t really come close to the mark at all. I<3 u comes close to it, but to spend all of the remaining of the album to get some sort of feeling In the writing and producing just to have a repetitive chorus and nothing really added to it seems very.. well just boring.
Certainly can understand wanting to change the style of writing and try a new approach, but don’t forget those roots you came from.
Certainly looking forward to the next project and will still enjoy the few singles off of this project 🤙
