Norah Jones manages to maintain her unique style and innovate at the same time. The songs are refreshing and yet carry influences from the previous albums, which makes her so consistent with her creative process. She offers great ballads here, some broken heart pieces, slightly jazz, slightly country and slightly folk, with a nice pop vibe with, not surprisingly, great, catchy lyrics. This is joyful and very delightful to listen to! ❤️

A girl with a familiar voice sitting at a piano with a few friends. Not over-produced pop. Beautiful it it’s simplicity.

Hurts to be Alone & I'm Alive are the best songs on the album.
  • Love her voice but...

Maybe a pandemic year isn’t a good year to release an album. This is another no rhythm dud I’ve heard so far. Songs are slow, but don’t have that classic jazz undertone of her past slower songs. There isn’t any up tempo tunes either. It feels like the pandemic in music form.

I think this might be my favorite album of hers - these sparse arrangements really lets her sultry voice shine ❤️

Norah has never got close to matching her debut album. I have tried to get into the music since but it’s just missing the magic. What she needs is songwriters who write amazing music for her instrument, her voice. Putting out albums with non memorable songs is just hurting her career.
