Jeff Russo once again does what he does best, the use of themes and very subtle tones playing in the background of scenes and perfectly sets up the moment. His theme for Pike is rousing and inspiring as the Captain is himself. The moment for Airiam is incredibly emotional and somber. And Michael’s jaunt through time with the suit is perfectly matched to Russo’s haunting score. The job of a score is not to overtake the story but rather compliment it in subtle ways to enhance the scenes, and Russo understands that so well. He never allows the music to overwhelm the story told on screen but when it comes time for the music to shine, he never misses a beat! Brilliant and moving!

I’m finally getting to listen to the new ost for S2. So not impressed S1 was great, new style refreshing This just sounds like an old rehashed marvel movie to me.
