So excited for the rest of this album based on this single. Hoping for the return of the lyrically rich and thought provoking Ellie from before. Always a fan of her talent but really enjoy the originality of her old albums

I always love Ellie Goulding’s voice in her ballad songs, I’m in bed crying thinking about the past. Lol

Agree with what others are saying. As the lead single for a forthcoming album, this track should have probably been saved for the full release of her new album. A track with a louder, upbeat impact would have probably been a better choice. Not really a fan of Ellie alone with a piano either sadly.

this song literally is so awesome, and you can tell it has a lot of meaning behind it, which i can also relate to a lot right now, and so can a lot of others as well. ellie has the coolest, most unique songs, and never fails to get me listening every time. i can’t wait for her album later this year!!!

her best work is always like this. you can tell it’s not mainstream, and she’s put a lot of thought into the words. halcyon days were some of the best lyrically and I think it’s similar👸🏼
