Lots of cry babies giving reviews. He’s allowed to make whatever music he wants.

Kudos to him for expressing his views and his distaste of what was happening at that time. A musician has every right to express how they feel regardless of who’s side you’re on.
  • Terrific album

This land goes to the heart of the blues. Sadly, some of the reviews here show us exactly why the blues is needed.
  • Gary is a master of any genre he chooses

This album is fantastic from front to back. What About Us is a great blues rocker, I’ve Got My Eyes on You is an R&B-esque crooner, Got to Get Into Something is a punk rock song through and through, Pearl Cadillac is classic Gary blues, When I’m Gone is a great 50s-inspired bop, Low Down Rolling Stone is a fuzz-laced, in your face hard rock, blues tune and The Governor is a laid back acoustic blues. There’s something here for everyone and don’t let the softies scare you away from This Land either. Must be nice to have no idea where Gary’s coming from on that one.

The diversity of his vocals, lyrics, music & guitar mastery is outstanding. He's baring his soul as a true artist. This is not for us to endorse or merely give 5 stars, but rather experience, hear him & receive his messages about love, life, the blues & society - our world today. He's building upon the historic legacy of the American genre of Blues, & doing it very well. This CD is for true music lovers & respecters of music genius. Love you, Gary! You're doing it very well.

Just happened upon this artist in the Music store, outstanding guitarist, smart lyrics. This Land is spot-on for these times as some folks double down on racism and bigotry and try to turn back the clock to favor only some of us.

  • Look at All the Racist and Ignorant Reviews and You Will See Why You NEED This Record

WOW! Look at all the racist and ignorant one-line reviews and you will see why this is an important record to the history of the Blues, to American Music, and to the African American experience in general. Gary writes this record after being confronted with horrible hatred and racism, and then looking at the rise of American Fascism and Racism via the emergence of Trump and his politics of hate and division, Gary does what Blues musicians have been doing since Blind Lemon Johnson, telling the TRUTH. For those people who say they 'don't listen to the Blues for politics,' congratualtions you've never listened to the Blues, you don't understand the Blues, and you really need to take a long look in the mirror and have your racism checked. This is an AMAZING record, it's POWERFUL, it's real freaking Blues. Possibly the most important Blues record made in the last 20 years.
