Peak form

When people refer to a band being at their peak, for the Stones this was it. Absolutely on fire here on every song from the rockers Gimmie Shelter, Brown Sugar, JJFLASH, to the slower Can GetWhat You Want and Sweet Virginia. A must for every Stones fan. Get the dvd or stream the concert movie as well, great footage of the whole band (except for Wyman) lol.
One of their Best Live Albums

If you want a great Stones show, next to Got Live if You Want It and Ya-Yas, Ladies and Gentlemen is some top-shelf Stones to get. It’s true the sound quality isn’t the greatest, but once you settle into it, the tunes begin to really shine through and the “sound quality” issue takes a back seat, much like crackle on a record can do. And this is because the playing is as fantastic as on any live album I’ve heard from them before. Very little deviation from the album versions is played, and that’s a big plus also. Classic stuff here, give it a sit through and you’ll know what I’m talking about.
The Stones at their peak

The Stones were at their peak both in the studio and with Mick Taylor. And no band was better live than they were in 1972.But this sound track is muddy and there is little separation between the instruments. It doesn’t do justice to the great 1972 tour. The playing is great though.
