Everything they did after this is not as good as this record. They turned into the bubblegum pop crap the singer was writing songs for on the side. His voice is controlled and not self indulgent. Goodbye Apathy, Say All I Need, & Prodigal are great. The single too.

Getting a five-star review should mean more than spawning a few chart-toppers, because the hits are only part of the album. In this case, with the help of Ryan Tedder's masterful songwriting, the rest of the album is great as well. Sure, it's not as extraordinary as "Apologize" and "Stop and Stare," but they make the rest of the album more than worth it.
