The mix on this is incredible. The Bass and vocal come thru so much clearer than on other releases

If you listen to Marvin Gaye then you must have this album in your collection. Reportedly this album was a gift to his x wife ( to settle some divorce debt) in which he speaks to here recounting his life and their relationship. Much of it is very tender and thoughtful. You can tell that he knows he made mistakes. He knows she was a good woman and wife. He’s sorry for his mistakes and the things that lead to the breakup. There is some sarcasm but there’s understanding too. He realizes the mistakes they both made and wishes he could make amends but in the end all he can really say to her is. “Here my Dear”.
