She butchers up one of the best Def Lep songs of all time!! Her style is not how the song is supposed to be sung!! Do not recommend a butcher album!!

This is truly my second favorite Mariah Carey album, all of the songs are perfect, the album has no skips, and the songwriting in my opinion is her best here. Sounds like subtle invitation, through the rain remix, my saving grace, truly round this album now.

i feel like this was mariahs first album where she 100% truly found her sound. she incorporated her signature “belty ballad” style, but then introduced us to the “whisper” vocals, which are still relevant and popular today among other artists. without this “experimental” album, TEOM wouldn’t have been as stable and strong in its hip hop and r&b aspects. one of my favs :)

I wish her label back then choose The One tbh as her lead single then through the rain 🙌🥳

After THE MEANING OF MARIAH I discovered a whole new Mimi Music and fell in love with her voice all over again!

this album is literally soooo boring 😭😭😭like there’s not one good song which is very surprising, but to note, this album should be r&b not pop
