This is a very awesome CD. All of it is good and I really don't know if I could pick a favorite song off of it.

Music with a Message
I am a big fan of Crowder music. Thoughtful lyrics with Red Letters and I'm Leaning on You. Crushing Snakes is just amazing. Wildfire and Child of God need to be cranked up with the windows down. This is an album the whole family can enjoy. Several songs with guest artists. I am loving this album. Listening every day. We need something to reach our young people. I believe Crowders music does that. Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

Chicken & Waffles and What?
By Cougar Drew
Putting this in context...it's one of the best Christian music albums of the year (maybe THE best).
On the other hand it's in the lesser half of all Crowder/David Crowder Band albums.
On the plus side - it definitely pushes the boundries of Christian music, and just for that, this is an important album. Actually, it really pushes the boundries of several genres of music, not just Christian music, and for that any one (religious or not) should give this a listen for both spiritual and musical inspiration.
On the down side - I just feel that this album tries to do TOO MUCH all once. Some times it works. And when it works, it's like Chicken and Waffles. Two things that have no business being on the same but go so well together. But then someone said "hey, if chicken and waffles works...then lets add some green chile, and maybe a brat on the side". It's all good stuff, but the plate can only so hold so much.
Maybe it's the limitations of my musical palette; but while I like this album, I think that I would have LOVED it, if there was a little less going on.
I think that that point some of the last songs on the album (100 miles and Ghost) are beautiful for their simplicity.
Every song may not appeal to everybody - but there's somethign on this album for everyone. Amazing diversity of styles and sounds, yet all solidly grounded and gospel centered. From bluegrass to hip-hop - I love it!

This music gets your blood moving! So diverse and interesting! The lyrics are ones to study and direct your prayer and bible study. Great job, Crowder!
