I take my iTunes reviews seriously, and most of the time, albums rate in the high numbers. Here’s the deal: I’m a songwriter. I appreciate lyrical, musical, and emotional value in songs. Here’s the deal: this EP scores pretty highly on most of those fronts. Lyrically, it’s pretty good. “Tongue Tied” is incredible in that department, and its most stripped-down track is very fitting. That said, it’s probably the only song I would buy off of this album, personally. The rest are good, don’t get me wrong, but they’re a little... overboard. Here me out, okay? “Might Not Like Me,” right? Honestly? The concept isn’t bad. I don’t hold either gender in a “higher status,” but they’re different and that should be recognized. So would I buy the song? No, I think it’s a little overly political. But would I rate the EP terribly for it? No. It knocks it down one star. The other one goes away for the general hey-this-is-a-pop-album feel to every other song. The lyrics are kind of repetitive or just not meaningful: “I wish you were here, I wish you were here, I wish you were here” or “bread crumbs on your T-shirt” are two examples of this from “Miss You.” Overall, “Tongue Tied” blows me away and shows me that Elliott has potential, but hasn’t exactly leaned into it yet. The rest of the songs are 5 out of 10 material. *Edit: Brynn, if you ever see this (which I doubt you will), I just want to clarify that I’m not hating on your material or anything. I just wanted to say that I would love to see more material like Tongue Tied in future EPs and albums.

This shows that girls are powerful and sometimes the world don’t like that
  • Amazing, despite what the anti-feminists think

Might Not Like Me is an amazing song. It’s empowering and not crappy, much like other music right now. The only people who gave bad reviews are people who hate feminists. However there’s plenty of songs that are supposed to subdue women. People are just afraid of powerful women. Keep going, Brynn. Might Not Like Me will inspire the next generation too, and will teach us all to hold all genders equal. Thank you.

Political and irrelevant where it doesn't need to be in Might Bot Like Me There's nothing empowering here its simply generic earworms and shallow lyrics
  • Generic & Cringey Pop Attempt

Poor Taylor Swift knockoff combined with Camila Cabello mimicry attempts. Redundant, generic lyrics with less potential for humorous enjoyment that Rebecca Black’s Friday.
