  • Amazing comeback

This ranks amongst Jump’s best work. I can’t stop listening to it. There’s plenty for long-time fans to revel in, but it is by no means drenched in nostalgia. A really beautiful, well-crafted album.

Not to be repetitive but this is just a beautiful album. It has many layers yet it does not sound overproduced. It has a haunting quality at some moments. I am just so glad to have JLC creating new music. It's as if a wonderful friend you thought had lost has made a glorious return. I hope they stand around and never leave again.
  • Too Late

Well I guess I have to be the one to express this opinion. Everything that made JLC geniuses and ground breakers 15 and 20 years ago has since been developed and brought into the current moment by other acts. Earnest harmonies? Mumford and Sons. Seamless blending of classical instruments? Lo-Fang. Odes to pure pop/rock? Haim. Chillingly poetic lyrics? F+TM. And yet JLC did it all, but not anymore. There’s nothing *wrong* with this album in the sense of poor musicianship or anything, but they could be any band, and that just breaks my heart. The good news is their first two albums are darn-near timeless, so at least I can listen to those.

This is a solid album from start to finish - and may be the best album Jump Little Children has ever made!

Anyone else having trouble downloading “Je Suis Oblivion”? My computer says the file is corrupted every time I try to download. When I stream it, only have the song plays.

Jump Little Children is a band that is an experience. Their albums are meant to be heard as a whole and Sparrow is without exception. It’s beautiful to hear their roots while still witnessing how they have evolved over the years. I cannot express how amazing they are.

Longtime fan (20+ years) and of course have been eagerly awaiting this. The reunions over the past couple of years were wonderful. And now we get this gift. The evolution of this band, how they grew as individuals, and their relationship with their fans make this one epic masterpiece. Je suis JLC. We are all JLC.

Jump Little Children demonstrate, once again, that artists can dive deeply into song craft and emerge with an album that entertains as much as it inspires.
