An absolute banger of an album. “Shelf Life” and the other songs that came out before the album such as “Care” or “Son of Robot” rate up there also. It’s a well balanced item that exceeds my expectations even past mothership.
  • Great album.

Shelf Life with Kurt singing with Tilian... can’t beat that old sound from the Happiness album. The whole album catchy af and the groove it brings isn’t like any other album.

I have been following Dgd since 13’ this is their best release since Tilian joined the band. Highly recommended.

Also pretty disappointing after the banger of an album that Mothership was. Chucky and Inspire The Liars were fantastic standouts. The end of Chucky in particular showed us that Tillan was capable of more energy than we ever saw before. There's nothing like that here. Count Bassy is a (relatively) slow song that doesn't really go anywhere. Son of Robot isn't bad, but it's far from the opening gunshot that Chucky and We Own The Night taught me to expect. This album is definitely still GDG, but it felt diluted to me.

Loved the three singles, cannot stop listening to Shelf Life ,Story of my Bros and Gospel Burnout. Love the variety in their song structures as per each album! Not sure why some are left confused on them sounding "poppy" or "rockish..." Look, if anything, put ALL the albums together into one big mix and you have an epic collection of DGD. Thanks guys for all the hard work over the years!!
