  • A whole experience!

    By eva lynne
I think the change in sound is good! I’m not dissing on their previous work at all, for it was all good! I believe that as an artist you should be able to branch out and try different things.
  • ehh

i liked there last album thought it was there best, dont like this direction there taking now. however genius idea to not release any singles cause after a couple listens starts to fade alittle but that sale crap worked
  • I understand why ppl hate it

    By Music listener ;)
It grows on you, because I used to hate this album a lot. The bad songs are when he has that vocal effect on the verses that make me sound like the snapchat alien filter (there’s only two I think). It’s a solid album, very laid back and slow motioned. I like it. I wish there was a bit more lighter vocals, instead of the monotonous sound, I mean it works, but it gets difficult to grab the listener’s attention if there isn’t a drastic change of instruments, melody, or key. Hopefully the next album has more diversity.
  • I absolutely love this record I don’t understand the hate

So different and a step in my opinion the right direction in every record the artic monkey have it seems they go in a new kind of alternative genre making sure not to stay stale

I get it you're bored. Stick with the guitars next time.
  • it’s a masterpiece

By y'all need to move on
people who can’t move on from the past are so toxic and, quite frankly, really annoying. this album doesn’t sound like the old arctic monkeys, big whoop. can everyone just chill out, relax, and try to listen to the album with no expectations? don’t compare it to other albums. that’s just pointless. this album does its own thing and it’s a wonderful album. alex turner’s voice has improved significantly over the years and the songs on the album definitely showcase that. the music in general, without the lyrics, are absolutely a delight to listen to. the people who desperately cling to the past really need to try to move on because otherwise they won’t be satisfied with anything ever. listen to new albums with a fresh, new mindset and you’ll be sure to like it. after all, it is the arctic monkeys.
  • Not bad

I’m not really a fan of his voice.I liked it in AM a lot better but I might just have to get use to it. But everything else is great!
  • Sour universe

    By JBohones
This album feels like a message. and it kind of feels like we are not 100% in on the joke. I have been all in on the Arctic Monkeys from my first listen. I would be a fool if I said I did not see this sparsce concept album coming out. You can see a huge departure from there sound in AM, many hip-hop elements lots of Americana. this album explores yet another outlet. all together it is quaint, interspective, and lacks alot of the quality that has become a staple of the Arctic Monkeys sound. let us pray this is just a brief departure.
  • Still amazing

    By Cheezus_Crust!!
Everyone seemed to be upset by their new sound but I honestly found it very interesting. Just because it is different doesn’t mean it’s bad and it seems like no one wants to accept that. Yes it’s very different but there are some amazing songs on this album. I can honestly say that this is my favorite so far
