Lolol what is this???
You’ve lost two of the most crucial members of your band on back to back records and still think your relevant? This is easily some of the absolute worst most god awful drumming I’ve ever heard. You hear me Jason? You’re just a massive joke to the rest of us drummers EVERYWHERE. And no solos, seriously, who are you anymore? Why take out a signature piece of your bands’ existence? I really don’t care if it’s “experimenting” or not. Don’t even go back to the drawing board anymore just stop while you have no dignity left. You can call me salty, I really don’t care. Just being honest.
When you have a front man that admits that he hate writing lyrics, it explains a lot. Hot garbage should be a rating option cuz this album "earns" that rating all day.
Not for old school BFMV fan
Aside from some interesting takes and cool parts in some songs, they feel too short and repetitive with no depth. No solos to be found anywhere only replaced by a 10 second breakdown of sorts, although vocals are strong, the sound and direction taken here to me felt mainstream and EDMy.
While it’s an alright album if it was written by another band, it fails to be anything good as a BFMV album on a bar they themselves set quite high. Now I will patiently wait for their next album...
Awesome recording, bass guitars sound amazing
Picked up 2 days ago and have been unable to listen to much else. Use really good headphones on this one (not earbuds), you will NOT be disappointed.
What struck me most is the bass guitars — something there was just a lot more intense throughout. They nailed the bass metal sound inside an intense, strong performance — very nice job. I think back to a few Asking Alexandria recordings, like “The Black”, just amazing.
My favorite without a doubt is “Over It”. Listen to the melody and how they push massively heavy riffs through melodic chord changes, wow. If you’re lifting weights to this one, prepare to add more weight to your bar!
These guys continue to experiment with alternative sounds, instruments, etc., pretty exciting to see that. Some hardcore fans may cite missing leads or overly-used synths, but I’d recommend moving beyond those things, give a critical ear to the recording, the precision of the band and especially the overall mix. As usual, the drums hit hard and fit perfectly, as does the guitar riffs. Despite a flood of sound, BFMV find separation for the intense vocals— really loving this album.
Bands grow like the rest of us, they listen to new types of bands themselves (like the rest of us!), and you have to realize their influences are constantly changing — again like the rest of us. That’s a good thing, don’t overlook it. That fact has kept the best bands on the forefront of musical evolution and serves us all with growth.
Very nice job, again, as we’ve come to expect. Haven’t seen them live before, I’d like to put that on my TODO list!
Doesn’t Deserve 1 Star 😢
Their EP, The Poison, & scream aim fire are great albums and i love them.
THIS IS GARBAGE.
Not feeling it...
I honestly think this has to be there worst album thus far.
Sorry BFMV. This sounds like a totally different band. Only 2-3 songs any good. The rest sound artificial. Can’t describe it any other way. Hope next album is much better.
Love their new sound hopefully they’ll keep exploring their potential with the next album!! only problem is breaking out and crawling should be on the regular edition of the CD
Well, it's a new album!
Really confused... Can anyone tell me which band "Padge" went to? I'll listen to them. 🙁 Honestly, one of the best metal guitarists on the planet! Why switch it up? I truly appreciate bands evolving, but c'mon, UNLEASH THE BEAST!!! (Still a huge fan! Horns up!🤘
“The creative juices are flowing” - Matt Tuck
That was a heinous lie. This has to be their worst album to date. Everything about it is incredibly stale & reinforced with electronic beats. No solos either. An absolute waste. Good god.
