A bit uncommon how I got this in advance, but This is great. I don't beleive you will get as much out of this if you listen only. I suggest you have the lyrics and follow along. the Texts are insiteful and very . . . thought provoking. Some of the orchestrations are at times a bit haunting.--In a good way. See if you can get the liner notes too. A comment on the prodigal and 'cloud of witnesses' These are not oratorios with soloists and the occasional chorus. I was puzzled at first, but to have the choir be everyone.--disciples,apostles, women, scoffers, crowds,angels, etc. was weird at first, but then I got caught up in it. I mean at the ending climax--"then be ye witnesses!" over and over, made me feel as if I were a witness. I wanted to jump up and shout and cry aloud with all the rest! Very powerful if you will let go just a little bit.
