My goodness, this album is superb. It is brilliantly and absolutely full of life. I love all of Spock's Beard's material but this, this is just awesome. Beginnings and So This is Life are incredible. Outstanding offering to us fans.

I have been becoming a fan of these guys for a couple of years even thought they have been around for a long time. As a Dream Theater fan it was a Portnoy lead to Neal Morse lead to Spock's Beard journey for me. I have be buying up most all of the their past releases. So I was very eagerly awaiting this one. And I did not dissapoint me. At first I liked it, but the more I listen to it the more I am really enjoying it and appreciating it. I really like "have we all gone crazy", but it has a lot of variety. Very good song writting and production. Is it their best?, IMO probably no but it is Really Good and for me fits right along with their most recent releases. I saw someone write once that Spock’s Beards worst album is an album most bands would love to have written. If your new to them don’t over look this one (heck they are all good), but "Brief Nocturnes and Dreamless Sleep" is a favorite and well as the older but classic "Snow". Now Tour PLEASE! ;) enjoy

I am just on my second spin through so it may be a bit premature, but this is my favorite SB project since Snow, but there is so much that is of interest and think it will grow on me even more. Nick on drums just adds a special layer missing with Jimmy (and I thought he was very very good), the most interesting instrumental parts since the Light, and Ted Leonard just seems to get better with age. Well done guys!

They have a sound similar to Rush, that is not a bad thing, but it's not unique either.
