I like the new direction the band has taken. It’s a good feel. Still heavy and dark even though it chugs along in areas. Full sound. Wall of music.

Great album, rich in blackened melodies. Black n' roll at times, but all around phenomenal musicianship and just fantastic songwriting, love what they did on this record.

Vibe is not what it was. The instrumentals are there. The vocals seem forced. Also not worth more than a dollar per song. I also don’t judge people for a living but this isn’t great. Generic in my metal vocabulary..

Really digging this record. I miss the Entombed feel of the previous records but with Devouring Radiant Light I feel they’ve jump 2 feet into the black metal pool. Luckily, they’re very good at it.
  • Getting blacker and more progressive

This album is colder, with a black metal sound, but it is also more melodic, and the arrangements are more complex overall. Great album.

Have never listened to Skeletonwitch before this track was released and therefore aren’t able to compare past and present. But whatever it is, I’m loving Fen Of Shadows so much I’ll pre-order the album.

Sounds like they’re going for a darker, more black metal approach. Not necessarily a bad thing, I like the transition they’ve made. Gonna be a banger! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻☠️
