  • Consistently brash - eloquently introspective

    By theglassboi
Lily Allen has managed to remain one of the sole voices in pop music willing to carve a path of subversive, often radical, at times obnoxious frankness. Her debut album was an extension of her teenage angst and MySpace persona; INMIY was a brilliant exploration of celebrity in a self-indulgent female performance landscape; whilst Sheezus, although slick and bright, maintained an exaggerated presence of what Allen has done in the past. No Shame is much more relaxed by comparison, but it does not mean this album does not pack pizzazz. Listen to singles "Trigger Bang" and "Lost My Mind" as examples.
  • Introspective and poinient...honesty with an A+

Everytime I play this through I fall in love with it more. Trigger Bang has been my personal anthem since it dropped, but I love every track on this album. Thank you Lily for bearing your soul on this! xoxo
  • Love it

Just purchased the new album "No Shame." Her latest shows her maturity in both attitude and lyrics. People are saying that they don't like "Three?" It's great. Just a simple piano voice with a little production behind it. These songs are not so carefree like her first album but that's okay. They shouldn't be. She's been through a lot in the past decade, as have all of us. Good job Lily.
  • Well Done, Fun and Creative

I am so happy to see her back, love her voice and the melodies she uses even struggling with personal issues. Worth the purchase.
  • Lily at her best

I've been a massive fan of Lily since the beginning, and I've always appreciated her music. I feel like I've grown up with her, in a way, because this album is by far her most mature record to date. It's also completely different from "Alright, Still", "INMIY", and "Sheezus". Artists grow and experiment, and I don't think anyone is meant to be stuck doing the same thing over and over. She's finally writing really personal, vulnerable songs and it shows how human she is. This whole record from top to bottom is stunning.
  • Disappointed

I am a huge Lily fan but I have to say I’m disappointed. She lost her sound! 🙁

    Thank you Lily.
  • Who’s Sheezus?

Allen came back with her fourth wall down. An album of inner reflection that has multiple stories and commentary of herself, not others.
  • Perfect

I finally got to listen today while running on the treadmill. Every track is different. Lily sounds more beautiful then ever. Some of the ballads you can actually hear a lot of bluesy undertones and it’s fantastic. I’ve loved Lily for over 10+ years. I’m so happy she made this record. Thank you!
