I do not understand why John Cage is credited for Phillip Glass's Metamorphosis work. Is this only my computer messing up or have others seen this? I suppose the only reason I care is because I dislike John Cage's style of writing. However this recording of The metamorphosis is very good, in my opion topped only by the composer himself. Worth every penny.

I luckily stumbled upon this CD by accident one day, and years later it is still one of my favorite albums to listen to. The pieces are beautiful and they are performed with great interpretation and tone. It's an album that can be listened to over and over again.

For some reason which I do not understand when I play this song (John Cage, Dream, Bruce Brubaker) it is so faint that even in a quite room with full volume on my imac it is very very hard to hear.

It is not a Classical Album!!! Just becasue there is use of a piano doesn't make the music classical. This is a Modern mis-conception made by people who pretend they know what they are talking about when they speak about music write these reviews. Do not let their ignorance fool you. This cd is a spectacular Minimalist cd and could even be considered Totalist, but definately not Classical. I don't blame them completely though. It is becasue we as a society have decided to give the name "Classical" to a genre instead of thinking about it as the period of music between Baroque and the Romantic Period.

to start, this is an amazing classical album, the best modern classical i have ever heard and bruce performs it fantastically. And to add to it, the album cover is a photograph by an amazing photographer named Abelardo Morell, who i studied for a year. Amazing, buy it!

This album is an amazing soundscape of piano music. Extraordinarily beautiful. Recommend to anyone who enjoys soft and subtle piano with interjections of stacatto life.

This is a very good classical album, consisting of music for piano composed by Philip Glass (tracks 1, 3-7, 9) and John Cage (tracks 2, 8) and played by Bruce Brubaker. The album was also not released on Jan 1st, 2006, but sometime in 2000.
