I do not understand the reviews for any of the last 4 GGD reviews ? They have not had a good album since the one that broke them into the mainstream. ( w/Slide)! A lot of over produced stuff ! I yearn for the "punk rock " days of the band!
Never disappoints!!!

Goo goo dolls truly can stand the test of time. Definitely overlooked and under appreciated! Lyrics for life.

Johnny has always been one to hide subtle meaning into his songs. Tattered Edge/You Should Be Happy is a nod to the political teeter totter taking place in America. We now know where he stands. ✊️
Tattered Edge - An Anthem for America 2017

I heard "Tattered Edge" for the first time live and I was stunned - absolutely brilliant! John has so eloquently captured so many thoughts that I share about our culture and politics in 2017. Add those brilliant lyrics to an explosive rock arrangement and the result is awesome! In concert, they also played an older song, "Flat Top" (from "A Boy Named Goo"), which contained many comparable themes - quite prophetic. This song is an anthem for us all. GGD are the most underappreciated band in American music.
Simply the best

You Should Be Happy and the previous album Boxes are the most consistently well-written albums in the decades-long career of the Goo Goo Dolls. While neither of them as landed a hit, both records can be played all the way through with nary a miss. Simply put, lead singer/songwriter Johnny Rzeznik is writing the best music of his career. Here's hoping for another full album -- and perhaps top 10 single -- within the next couple years.
Had no idea they had new music!

Love this 5 song EP. Guitar, bass, drums, a little keyboard and vocals is all you need. Tattered Edge and 30k Feet are my favorites.
Respect.

These guys deserve respect, but what is this? Is this just songs they've recorded with high dollar equipment at their house? Or at 30k feet? Really? Just stop... Wow, what a fall at from that altitude.
