We as rock fans , owe so much to Chuck Berry . His music , his style , and his stage presents is Rock N' Roll . There is no rock group can say that in some way , Chuck Berry did not have an influence on them. Chuck Berry is Rock n' Roll. Alan Freed said it first . " You call me Mr. Rock n' Roll , I'll tell you who is Mr. Rock N' Roll ........ Chuck Berry !!!!!

Chuck Berry, a legend in rock and roll's last album is superb. It has all the guitar riffs and blasting lyrics that people have come to expect. Although some of them a little too familiar. A lot of the riffs are recycled from his other songs, the Johnny B. Goode opening riff alone is used on two of the songs here. Now there's nothing wrong with that and something that Chuck did with a lot of his songs, and the two that feature it are possibly the best seen here. It's just slightly unoriginal. Then there's Jamaica Moon, where 95% of the lyrics are ripped straight from Havanna Moon. And the song is practically a cover of it. It's good, but it feels like I've heard it before. Other than that though, it's an EXCELLENT album for Chuck Berry, and that's saying a heck of a lot. RIP Chuck Berry. You may be gone, but your music will live forever. Berry's on top!

Wow, finished an album at age 89 and still sounding good! To be fair, much of this album could have been in the can for years. But a couple songs ("Darlin" and "Dutchman") clearly show Chuck writing a kind of post mortem to his life and career. Enjoyed this album more than I thought I would and loved several tunes. That is the way albums always used to be, really like 2-4 songs and appreciate the other 8 or so. I wonder if that is longtime collaborator sister Martha singing on the two cuts mentioned above? Darlin' I think refers to his wife of many years. Maybe she sings? I hope Chuck knows how cherished he was by so many of us rock music lovers. Without him Rock 'n' Roll would have certainly been emptier and much different.

Poetry master slinging electric licks on riffs in his final hour. A crowning touch on a storied career. A, 'one last hurrah' before the curtain comes down. A gift to the fans, one last offer from the man.

Apple has it set as June 16th when everywhere online says it moved up to June 9th (tomorrow). Am I going to get this album tomorrow and they just forgot to change the date on here or is it going to take me 7 more days to get this? Cause that would be unfortunate and I might cry

It pretty Goode so far. Love how his last album is referencing one of the most iconic movie songs of all times, his song. Love this man.
