Love This Album
By Le'Donta Curry
I purchased THE DAY IT DROPPED but never wrote a review!! Inspirational on so many levels as I myself “Am in The middle of the road” making changes AND THIS SPOKE DIRECTLY TO ME!! Much love to my feet bro Eric and Ladonna Gales and the entire EGB for this amazing LIFE-CHANGING ALBUM!
With the bombardment of overproduced crap by spoiled overexposed pop tarts, it's refreshing to hear an artist just put out good music. A funky sound, with a reggae beat on "Been so Long", Eric shows he's got more to offer that classic rock guitar riffs, which we love btw.
TWO STARS...the weakest Eric G. Album
I guess iTunes is only accepting five star reviews these days...this is my third attempt to post this candid review. Eric has issued a wonderful catalog of music over the years and is one of my favorite artists, but this effort falls way short of his previous work. I had to wait through six songs before hearing him really tear it up on guitar like he does all throughout his past albums. And the last song is a joke...an instrumental with no guitar solo or melody at all...an unfinished track, in other words. I would highly recommend his previous work over this album by a long shot.

great duo on Boogyman and love that Swamp song . It is refreshing to see an and hear an artist as real mr. Gales ,his music is full of emotion and energy it is truly a breath of fresh air! One Love and many blessings!

"Carry Yourself" is a nice song. I thought I was listening to Eric Clapton when I first heard it. Bluesy Clapton. If the whole album is like this, should be pretty good stuff!
