  • karaoke NOT cover

When I first heard the Africa song I was so excited because Weezer is one of my favorite bands. Then when I heard the chorus without a hard hitting guitar I fell apart inside. The whole point of a cover song is to make it your own. This is not hard Weezer covering classic songs with an alt punk sound. Just a great band who decided to do karaoke covers. I think how great these songs could’ve sound and I’m left not even wanting to buy the album. 😩😭

This album is great. This is the first album released by Weezer, and it is the best Weezer album. Everyone knows it, it is obvious to the point of being stupid if you disagree. Yes, they had Pinkerton, The White Album, and Hurley (it's okay), but you can't compare "El Scorcho" and "Pink Triangle" to "My Name Is Jonas", "No One Else", "Buddy Holly", "Undone-The Sweater Song", "Say it Ain't So", and "In The Garage". Although the target audience of this album is quite small, everyone can enjoy these Punk Rock masterpieces. Enjoy!

in my opinion, this is a top 10 rock album of all time. every song is like exploring a new world, and so few artists are able to produce this kind of drug fueled album.

I don’t know much about these guys, but I can see that they put lots of effort into their music, and it pays off. I’m a classically trained musician, and I can see the effort and time that went into the music itself, let alone the deep yet understandable lyrics. This is a great 90’s debut album if I’ve ever seen one.
  • Amazing work

Well, I was just listening to the truest form of music, jazz, when I happened upon this gem... although it’s composition lacks the true form of musicianship (I.e. jazz) it’s melodic and addicting. Nothing can replace the saucy sweet sting of jazz but Weezers Blue album is a true classic.

If you like a little Punk & Grunge mix and a playful song that's up beat Weezer scored bigtime.

A modern classic, alongside Pinkerton and the green album.
