After her Barry Manilow produced comeback in 1979, Dionne returned with No Night So Long In 1980. This is a lower key effort that focuses on ballads. The title track is one of my favorite Dionne songs, and she sounds energized and confident covering “It’s The Falling In Love” and “Reaching For The Sky”, two covers of then recent R&B songs. Most of the material is strong and Dionne sounds great. Recommended!
