Jeff Buckley’s version of Hallelujah is the most haunting, sad and beautiful songs ever performed. It, if for no other reason, should be enough to place him in the HoF.

Listened countless times to this perfect album of regret of a love gone wrong. Lamentation of youth’s immaturity and fear of the unknown . True virtuosity in every way with the rawness of authenticity… but I mean what control of your voice Jeff expressed so perfectly. Shining star like Orpheus missed forever.

I remember years ago my first listen of Grace was lying on the bed listening with headphones. I was about halfway through the last track Dream Brother and the haunting guitar melody and his amazing voice caused such a strong visceral reaction that tears were forming in my eyes. When it ended I just lay there unable to move for a few minutes. I still get that piercing sadness even now when I listen to it.
