This album sneaks up on you. First time I heard a lot of it on iTunes Radio, I thought it was all too melancholy and depressing. Then I listened more. The words, great music and variety of the cuts just are fantastic. I could listen to "Not cause I wanted to", "Ain't going to let you go" or "Take my love with you" over and over -- as well as many of the other cuts. I just can't believe these works did not get more popular air time. Wonderful accomplishment.

Some of her best work. There's a rich, mature, introspective quality to the Joe Henry tunes, and I play "Ain't Gonna Let You Go" blasting on repeat in my car pretty much every day. Listen to her band just jam on that song. If you appreciate her guitar playing or have seen her live, you'll know what I mean.
