Every song on here just hits for me. The story, the vocals, the arrangements etc. Brillant.

Back to business for the Purple One as we love it. Harking back to the early days with servings of soul, funk, rock and R&B. Fusing past, present and future musings in this mod era of a mixed- up world. Prince is laser focused on the love and this issue of musical genius continues his legacy. I’ve just discovered it and am pleased that I finally have. If you like any of Prince’s former art, you’re surely going to enjoy this slice for a long time. I’m hyped for the future issues of his creative genius and until then this will be rotating regularly in my mixes.
  • The best album of his final decade...

I see a few ungrateful reviews and straight up haters but I must admit this album SLAMS. It’s the finest Prince record of the 2010’s and may be his best effort since 2006’s “3121.” Now don’t get me wrong, it’s followed closely by “20Ten” but this album seems to have a creative edge to me. Complete with interludes and preludes set in a futuristic narrative that encapsulates the album from start to finish; similar to the Arabian theme of the 1992 “O(+>” album era and its music videos, promo materials and the stage design of the “Act II Tour.” The album is worth every dime alone for the funk of “Clouds,” the powerful confession of “The Breakdown” and the pure R&B/Soul of “Breakfast Can Wait” and “This Could Be Us.” I also like that this album is where Prince began to experiment with modern day pop/R&B sounds of the “Top 40” (which would set the tone for his final efforts), evident on “U Know” and “Art Official Cage” but yet he still put that trademarked, unmistakable funk into it that let you KNOW that it’s still Prince, and not to let the autotunes and loops fool you! A fabulous record and a great way to wind up the final years of the most prolific musician of our time... 💜🙏🏾

Before you decide just to purchase one song listen to the rest. They're absolutely fabulous. Our favorite musical genius did it again! There is no way to choose just one song to be your favorite on this album.
