Reviews

  • The Boring Phase of Petty's Career

2002-2006 marked the boring phase of Tom Petty's career, which peaked in 1994 with the release of Wildflowers. Laid-back mid tempo tracks with a country flavor was the dominant musical theme of snooze phase. Night Driver makes me want to fall asleep at the wheel. His career resumed at full-speed with the release of Mojo in 2010 and he has been at his best ever since.

this is unquestionably one of the finest albums to emerge in the last decade. i’ve been listening to it since it was released in 2006 and haven’t tired of it. the songs and melodies just keep on keeping’ on.
