Emmy Lou Harris has completely betrayed the loyal fans who have followed her and loved her for decades of great music, performed with some of the greatest stars of our era. This album is a digital version of her sticking her middle finger up at the world and telling us she is through with the sounds that made her career. It sounds angry, completely overwhelmed by interruptions of disonant percussion and a cacophony of synth and background noise that tries to drown out the vocals. Don't buy this piece of crap, unless you are ready to write the great Emmy Lou Harris off your list.

We played this album over and over at the record store I worked at when it came out. Every song on this album is great and a few are transcedent. I've been to shows where the artist's have talked about how this album moved them. This is not one of those 5 star reviews from a fan who is just giving out a 5. This 5 star means something. I am an audiophile who loves all kinds of music and has thousands of albums and this is one of the greatest albums of all time. You can mention this album right along side Exile On Main Street, Nebraska, All You Can't Leave Behind, Before The Frost, Satellitle Sky, Rubber Soul, Heartbreaker, Living With Ghosts,,,whatever your favorite album is of all time you could say Wrecking Ball is it and you wouldn't be wrong.
