Yes, their previous albums are insanely great. But given that they have aged and progressed in the last 10 years. They've definitely were able to keep their style but added to it to fit into today's industry. They have managed to make another great album. I love how each album has its own vibe. Mikes screams + Jeremy's voice = brutal

IMO: TDWPs best album, favorite album in general. Major grower album, don't brush it off based on a skim through. Every note and lyric is amazing, the synth really grows on you too. It's so different. Also, Mikes voice isn't bad, it's different but not bad, and it fits perfectly with 8:18, can't imagine plagues screams sounding good on 8:18.

Mikes vocals really are unique. I believe this albums is far better than their previous release dead throne. Mikes vocals add so well to the atmosphere. I'm not a professional reviewer but this album is great. Of course I'm still a fan of their earlier works. Dear love being their most unique and different sounding album in my opinion, but of course that was their debut. I think this album and with roots are tied in my opinion. Love everything tdwp releases
  • Just not the same

I've gotta say, I'm a little sad about these newer albums. With TDWP's first three albums there's so much passion and the screams are intense and they use more death growls. Zombie EP is one of my favorite albums but you can hear the change coming. Then with Dead Throne the difference is apparent. Mike's screams just aren't the same and you can tell his voice is on the down and out. If it's just a change in sound then I'd wish they would go back to their early style with albums like Plague and songs like "Modify the Pronunciation" or "And the Sentence Trails on..." It's an ok album but their first ones are what do it for me.

After listening to this album many, many times, I've decided that this is their best album. The lyrics are diverse and make you think. I think TDWP focused more making passionate music rather than just heavy breakdowns and it's beautiful. 8:18 will definitely not be their most popular, but it's definitely the most honest, raw, and complex material i've heard from them. Buy it. Listen to it. You won't regret it.

I love this band, personally. And some people are saying Mike's voice is fading. I don't see it or even hear it. It sounds great and I love the band and this album. Definitely hooked on it and The Amity Affliction as well as Upon This Dawning 😊
  • Masterpiece-best album yet!

Compared to everything before this by them, it's not the best. Some of it may be the mixing, but idk. But compared to other stuff out there, it's still pretty good.

Incredible instrumentals, amazing lyrics and like always, Mike's vocals are perfect. Great album.
