Whenever I return to Will Ackerman’s compositions, my life is usually in a completely different era. It is so wonderful that the composer includes old favorites from long ago along with new compositions. His compositions comprise a life’s journey for me, supplying new open doors, as well as heart-opening memories from eras past.
  • So many retreads from other albums....

First off, let me say I adore Will Ackerman's music. I am a huge Windham Hill fan, and gobble up all of Will's compositions. The emotion he conveys with simple melodies is unmatched, and makes my soul bleed. The only complaint I have is that each one of his albums consists of at least 30% retreads from earlier albums. I already have the songs, so I never buy a new album.... Why do you do this Will? If I see one more album with The Bricklayers Beautiful Daughter on it, I will have an embolism. Please make an entire album of new material!

If you haven't heard this ablum, please do buy it. It is one of the most memorable, soft, beautiful albums ever. So much emotion is put into these songs, and they are so well written. When I first heard this album I was 13 years old, living in a farm house in the midwest on 15 acers of land with a big pond. This CD so well descibes my time spent there as a kid. It describes the peacfulness of the wide open fields, the windy days of rain, the days of sunshine and big beautiful clouds. When I listen to this CD it puts me in a state of happiness and thankfulness for all that I have. Brings me back to those peacful days living in the farmlands of Illinois. I love Will Ackerman. This CD won a well deserved grammy, and has also won my heart. Buy it!
