This Is Good !!!

I recently became acquainted with Acker Bick's music. His music brings me great joy. Mr. Bick, thank you for this wonderful gift.

On my iTunes, I recently downgraded the Beatles' original Hey Jude from three stars to two. Despite the message of the song, I was getting turned off by the shouting and continuous repetitions towards the end. Then I heard Acker Bilk do it on his clarinet, and I gave this version five stars. It does make a difference how it is done.

Great music, Anyone has to love Stranger on the Shore. His style comes through on the rest of these old standards. I would highly recommned the album.

I only had one Acker Bilk tune before this "Strangers on the Shore" and I simply loved it. The clarinet style is beautiful and I wanted to hear more. I'm very pleased with this album overall. There are a few tunes that don't do much for me but the majority are great. Not quite on par with "Strangers on the Shore" but still very good. I also bought his "Unchained Melody" album and I was disappointed. It does not live up to the quality of this album.
