This is a very special collection of mature, heartfelt interpretations from one of the great (and inexplicably lesser known) songwriters of all time.

If hearing JD sing Go Ahead and Rain or a track like White Rhythm or the harmonic chorus to New Kid in Town or Her Town Too doesn't get you? You need a heart transplant....
  • exceptional songwriter, with his renditions of classics he's written for other artists

JD Souther is one of my alltime favorite songwriters and this album doesn't disappoint. Songs made into classics by Linda Ronstadt and the Eagles especially featured here, along with many other gems. This is on my 'play it over and over again' list!
  • Great Renditions of his own masterworks!

I was one of the lucky few to hear the preview of this album in a small record store in Nashville. JD has always been a family favorite. This CD is out of this world. It feels as intimate and wonderful as standing in front of this man listening to his beautiful sound. Love this. Love JD. Thank you

Maybe the most gorgeous collection of songs I've ever heard. All these songs mean so much to me, and I saw him perform most of them for FREE last week at Grimey's in Nashville. I was transported to musical nirvana...and I choose to believe he was singing directly to me. Got a little bit of a groupie heart after all these years ...love ya', J.D.
  • One of the "other" Eagles

I'm continually amazed at how much of the Eagles sound and style was a direct result of JD Souther's writing and influence. Listening to New Kid In Town or Sad Cafe, it's hard to remember he actually wasn't a performing member of the band.
  • Stunning.....

Beautiful music from a legendary singer/songwriter. I downloaded it last night & found myself listening to it over & over again. First thing this morning, it's playing again.
