Southside Johnny has continues to bring a fun, soulful sound to the world! This set has some blues, R&B, and horn-driven rock; something to please everyone but the metal-heads! Each listen has revealed something new, yet he keeps true to his signature sound. If you are new to the Jukes, get this, then Hearts of Stone, Passion Street, and all the others. If you're a Jukes fan, this is a great dose of new music. Buy it!

While Southside's last few studio outings have focused on blues, soul, and R&B, this one puts to rest any questions about whether the band can still rock - the answer is an unqualified YES. When you kick off an album with a nasty-grooved, horn driven rocker like "Harder Than It Looks", you are setting expectations pretty high. No sweat - the band is up to the challenge. "Cross That Line" has a soulful and powerful chorus, "Heartbreak City" paints a gritty, guitar-powered look at a place you don't want to visit, "Keep On Moving" would have fit perfectly into the band's masterwork "Better Days", and "One More Night To Rock" is almost ridiculously good with a mighty hook and hyper pace. This song as built as a climax to a live show. Southside Johnny slows the pace, too. One of my favorites is "A Place Where I Can't Be Found", soulful horns assisting the South in this bluesy confession. Here's a terrific effort by a band that seems to be in a pretty great groove - a must for fans of the band or anyone who likes high energy music performed by a top flight band.
